Brig. Khalifa Al-Romaithi has a degree in Administrative Science and Photogrammetry. He received his M.Sc. degree in GIS from ITC, The Netherlands. He joined the Military Survey Department in 1984. Since then Brig. Al-Romaithi has worked on many mapping projects and has gained extensive experience as project leader for many projects in spatial data collection. He has played a significant role in expanding the use of GPS, GIS & RS across his organization and other government agenesis. He is presently engaged in the completion of the National Topographic Database. Along with his duties Al-Romaithi is acting as advisor for spatial data infrastructure (SDI) to higher authorities.
