Vanessa joined the Ordnance Survey in 2000. She has extensive experience in both geographical information systems and publishing. Before joining Ordnance Survey she chaired the Association for Geographical Information, and is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Vanessa is a Member of the Council of the Royal Geographical Society (with The Institute of British Geographers) and of the University of Southampton, and is a government e-champion.
