Objective

Map Middle East has evolved as the regional forum for the Middle East geospatial community that would provide a podium to share the latest developments in the field of geospatial information, technology and applications to a large gathering of people, which include top decision makers, existing as well as prospective users, academicians, vendors, policy makers and representatives of various international organizations.

Regional cooperation is the need of the hour and this conference will provide the stage wherefrom every country in this region can work and grow together in the geospatial domain. The event would demonstrate the contributions that each of the member of the geospatial community is making and it would also provide a glimpse of how the technology can lead to connecting the world for achieving the common goal of a 'better world'. Cooperation amongst the Middle East countries followed by effective co-ordination and transfer of technology on mutual beneficial basis is the need of the hour.

One of the agenda of the Map Middle East 2007 conference will be to empower the masses by providing them fast and easy access to geospatial technology. The conference will showcase how the technology has, and is going to advance. The conference would focus on building relationships, building communities. It would stimulate a well-balanced cooperation between governmental, academic and industrial sectors.
